Where did my lazy summer days go? I’ve been so busy I can barely keep my head above water! So today, I’m focusing on 4 things to give me some respite. Stress and I are breaking up! Yep, it’s official. Stress has major dependency issues and I’m over it! I’m consciously kicking Stress to the curb! If I start feeling stressed, I’m just going to take a break from whatever I’m doing, acknowledge that I don’t want to feel this way and do something to change it. For instance:
I’m going to let go of some things that are taking up space in my mind. No reason to hang onto that baggage! I learned a valuable life tip a few years ago that when something is bothering me, I either need to talk with the person/ do something proactive to change the situation OR I need to just let it go. Frustrations have a way of burrowing into your psyche and wreaking havoc. Either change something, or let it go.
I LOVE my life already. All the details. Really, my only issue is that I have SO many things about it that I want to be able to spend more time doing each and every thing. I feel like I’m pretty good at splitting my time and really focusing on the important things. I’m also a good multi-tasker, which allows me to get through things more quickly, but it DOESN’T allow for as much down time as I probably need. So I’m going to consciously try to REALX more. This one is harder for me because I like to have everything done before I can relax, but I’m going to try to take more little breaks, because I can’t realistically get through everything right now.
This one made me laugh, and reminded me of this quote from Barney Stinson that always seems to help me remember to keep it lighthearted. Just go be awesome. Forget the rest. Plain and simple.
There. 4 Things to give you a little boost as we’re nearing the end of summer! Today, I’m going to just do the best I can do, relax and have a little fun. Feeling better already.
I’ve finished 3 books lately… reviews to come soon! And I’m also working on some of my writing tip links. I’ll get them up soon! Hope you’re having a great summer!
